Little valve oil guzzling goof >3>

What a perfect piece to annouce my 3 day hiatusI'll be back sunday guys <3

Over the past few weeks (kay, the past month) I've been drawing anthropomorphised instruments for fun. I think it all started when I kept refering to my Trumpet as my baby >_____>

So now I'm busy finishing up designs for everyone. So far I have the pianos and trombone finshed, and I'm trying to put the final touches on clarinet and flute. And then there's drums, guitars, saxes, base, and maybe even strings to finish.

Ah well. It'll be fun when I can draw comics about them (:

Trumpet-tan's design's of my own making

Awwww! So cute! :nuu:
My baby doesn't do that! he's well cared for!
PS: I play trumpet, and I refer to it as my precious or sometimes my baby. I treat it like it's my child.

So I've looked at all of these, and I really enjoyed them. And thought I was weird for making gijinkas of my precious babies, i mean instruments. Haha I see you've done on of the two I play (flute), but no bassoon. So disappointed ;)

wouldn't the valve oil make the human body sick?
unless his innards are made of metal or something... but then he wouldn't be able to go through the metal detectors at airports ...

well, he's a personified instrument, so valve oil is really the only sustenance he gets. You don't want to see what happens when food gets in a trumpet ):

Good point ... (well I do want to see what happens when food gets in a trumpet, but no trumpets have ever attacked me, so ...)
What about katchup? I hear that that's FANTASTIC for cleaning brass instruments.
Also, my trumpet book says that you should run warm water through a trumpet (starting at the bell) once a week.
If you're wondering why a cellist has a trumpet book, I was gonna teach myself trumpet (my family had a random trumpet for some reason...) but decided that my cello playing was enough noise already.

Gunk more disgusting then you'd believe ):
and ketchup? ugh, that sounds kinda gross, I have no idea how that's supposed to help

Ooh, Wikihow says it actually works ... Also on gold too. There is also a method where you COOK the brass whateveritis in the Ketchup, while it is completely covered ...
Now to find out if there are any bizarre ways to clean string instruments...

I just use warm water and a snake. Acid baths should only happen once in a while

I asked my mom if I could teach myself trumpet, but she has some sort of grudge against brass instruments ... I wonder why ...

Valve oil does not taste well... I've accidentally tasted some a year or two ago. Not pleasant.

It's very cute, but I just don't think it really displays a trumpet player. The stereotype is arrogant, cocky... Those stereotypes are pretty true, in fact. No offense but, this picture is definitely not that.

I suppose that seeing as he was the first one and technically my "baby" that I'd have to soften him up a bit >_>;;

I've kinda realised that. In the past few years, our school trumpet section has been reasonably humble about their skills, and now we've got an cocky douche transfered from another school playing lead. We now have a stereotype to go off now.

I've almost played with making a silver-finished trumpet who's the spitting image of the guy. I've barely tried building on this guy's character at all

I see I see. At my school the trumpet players fit the bill well, and they're pretty obnoxious and cocky as well. (Well, some are 'cool' some are funny...) But yeah. XD
